  • What does ‘serviced accommodation’ actually mean?

    Serviced accommodation means accommodation which is more like a home-from-home than an impersonal hotel or guest house (where you’re effectively confined to your bedroom), but keeping the services aspect – all linen and towels are provided and changed on a weekly basis and we clean the house for you every week, too. With Bristol Short Stays you also benefit from Virgin Freeview, wi-fi access and lovely gardens.

  • What do I get in the accommodation?

    Bristol Short Stays specialises in providing entire houses in residential areas, rather than flats in blocks. Each of our houses is spacious and light, decorated and furnished to a very high standard. You have full access to the house and gardens and everything you might expect in a luxury home, such as dishwasher, Freeview TV, wi-fi access and more.

  • How long can we stay?

    We offer rental accommodation in Bristol for a minimum of three nights and you can stay up to four months – or anything in between. If, while you’re staying with us, you decide you’d like to extend your stay, we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

  • How and when do I pay?

    Guests generally book online using this website and pay in full for visit at that point using a credit or debit card. If you would like to book and pay by bank transfer, cash or cheque please call us on Bristol 0117 334 3020.

  • Will I be charged a transaction fee?

    No, Bristol Short Stays does not pass on the transaction costs of paying by debit or credit card.

  • How much does it cost to rent a serviced house?

    Each of our three properties has its own page and pricing on this website: please check our availability and pricing for when you’d like to stay. The nightly cost to rent a whole house with four bedrooms is only equivalent to some hotels!

  • Do you offer a special rate for longer stays?

    Yes, we offer discounts for stays of eight nights or more. Please ask us for details.

  • What is included in the rate?

    Our rates include all heating; electricity; gas; water; a welcome pack; Virgin Freeview; wi-fi broadband access; a weekly clean and change of bed linen and towels; use of the entire house and gardens; private, off-road parking. Prices also include VAT.

  • Can I start my stay with you any day of the week?

    Yes. You can start your stay at any of our Bristol rental houses whenever you like and leave whenever suits you subject to a minimum four-night stay and, of course, to availability.

  • I can’t seem to book online. What should I do?

    We’re sorry you’re experiencing a difficulty. This doesn’t happen very often but even the best technology is sometimes temperamental. Simply wait a while and try again, or call us on Bristol 0117 334 3020 or e-mail us at We’ll soon get you sorted. Thank you for your patience.


  • Can you provide a cot or extra bed for visiting guests?

    Yes, we can provide a cot at no extra charge for your short stay.  We don’t provide any extra beds: maximum occupancy is based on the total number of permanent beds in each house.

  • Are Bristol Short Stays rental houses suitable for people with disabilities?

    Our properties generally have level access to all facilities within the house, but one or more steps to the outside. We provide a ramp for wheelchair users but we’re insistent that people with disabilities should be comfortably supported in our houses, so please call us before you book, so we can discuss the level of disability and our ability to cater for their needs.   • I rely on the internet for work. How good is your broadband?

    We provide free wi-fi access in each of our rental accommodation houses in Bristol. We are supplied by Virgin Media and access is almost always very reliable and fast. We cannot guarantee access any more than anyone else can, but we find customer support is generally very good and we will endeavour to fix any problems as soon as possible after we are alerted to a problem.

  • I don’t want to be enclosed. Do you have a garden?

    Yes, each of our properties has a generous garden with sitting-out areas.


During our stay

  • What time can we check in?

    You can check in between 3pm and 6pm, or outside these hours by prior arrangement.

  • What time do we need to check out?

    We ask that you vacate the accommodation by 11am on your day of departure. If you need longer, please call us on 0117 334 3020 and we will do our best to help you.

  • Can I bring my pet?

    Sorry, no pets allowed except registered dogs for the disabled.


  • Do you provide a hair dryer?

    Yes!  There’s at least one, quality hair dryer in each Bristol Short Stays rental home.


Each of our serviced rental houses in Bristol is furnished, equipped and maintained to the highest standards: we ensure you have everything you need for your comfort, safety and pleasure. You’ll find plenty of parking at each property, but also excellent public transport links across the city and beyond. A ‘welcome pack’ will await you on arrival.


Bristol is a great place to visit for work or pleasure. It’s a business powerhouse for the thrusting career person. For the leisure visitor it has a fascinating history, enviable architecture, astonishing engineering, beautiful river network and is a hub of arts and culture.
