Festivals and fiestas

Bristol hosts many festivals! They include the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta in August; the legendary St Paul’s Carnival in July; the Kite Festival alternate years in August; the Bristol Harbour Festival in July; Family Arts Festival in October/November; the German Christmas market each December; various music and food festivals at the harbourside throughout the summer… the list is long.

Getting around Bristol

Transport is easy within and from Bristol: we’re minutes from the M4/M5 interchange with easy access in all directions and two national train stations: we’re only 90 minutes from London or Birmingham, 50 minutes from Cardiff and 15 minutes from Bath. Within our city we have comprehensive bus, train and ferry networks.

 

Despite its hilly landscape, Bristol is England’s first cycling city, as well as being voted the European Green Capital 2015.
